Hi, y’all! My name is Matthew Flor, and I’m from Ocala, Florida.

I’m a horse enthusiast, and one of my favorite breeds is the Shire horse.

In this blog, I’ll be sharing information about these amazing animals – everything from their history to their unique characteristics.

Y’all probably heard about shire horses before – some of the largest breeds of draught horses in existence! These gentle giants have been around for hundreds of years, and with so much history to learn, this blog aims to show you not only the importance and beauty of these animals but to teach you about their many contributions throughout history.

We’ll discuss various topics such as breeds, nutrition, training, riding, showing, and more. I’ll bring you full stories on the history and preservation of these amazing creatures.

Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a horse farm in the south and never felt more at home than when I was around those majestic creatures.

Every summer, we’d gather together with the other families from our area to compete in all sorts of equestrian events, from roping to barrel racing, and it was always such a thrill. Horses have always inspired me with their grace and beauty, not to mention all the amazing feats they can accomplish with human guidance.

No matter how many times I’m lucky enough to ride one, it’s like hopping onto a magic carpet ride each and every time!

If y’all like horses as much as I do, then this is the blog for ya! I’m gonna be sharin’ all kinds of stories, tips, and advice on how to raise and care for a majestic Shire horse.

Whether you’re brand new to Shire horse ownership or have had yours for years, I’m confident this blog will have somethin’ for everyone.
